AHS is dedicated to making sure our students are ready for college and careers. Congratulations to the students who have enlisted into the military and those who participated in UL Lafayette’s academic signing. It was another great day to be a Wildcat!

We are excited to be celebrating National Library Week, where we believe our library is the vibrant NUCLEUS of our school! And we are so very grateful for our librarian Katie Cordes, who has swiftly become a die-hard member of our Wildcat family. She loves reading, traveling, and family time. She is a graduate of LSU and obtained her Master’s from UNO. She has three dogs, a cat, and several hermit crabs. She is married to Brett Cordes and has two kids, Kevin and Alyssa.
The AHS Library Book Club met to discuss and reflect on chapters 1-4 of The Outsiders. Thank you to Mrs. Cordes for bringing food and drinks that represented settings and characters in the novel. It’s always a great day to be a Wildcat!
