This Week at GHS - March 25th through March 31st
Congratulations to the Gueydan High School Concert Band for their performance at the District III Large Ensemble Assessment. Their performance earned them a rating of "Good" on stage and a rating of "Excellent" in sight reading.
This afternoon's baseball game has been postponed, and there will be no practice.
Earlier today, students and teachers from College Vivian Maier in Saint Bonnet en Champsaur, in southeastern French Alps, visited Gueydan High School. 8th graders from GHS have been in touch with the students from College Vivian Maier for the last year. They connected because the founder of the town of Gueydan, Jean-Pierre Gueydan, immigrated to America from Saint Bonnet in November 1848.
During their visit, the students were able to meet in person for the first time and Gueydan students gave their counterparts a tour of the campus. During a reception that was open to the community, students from College Vivian Maier shared a presentation on what they've learned about Gueydan in their studies.

For her 3rd Nine Weeks Enrichment, Mrs. Sheri has been sharing her passion of furniture restoration with her students! For the past 8 weeks, they've been taking old, worn-out furniture and bringing it back to life with some TLC! Great job!
